From the terraced farmland above Pokhara, through several days of pleasant ridge walking with abundant forest and scattered settlements, our route climbs gradually into the world of ice and snow that is the Annapurna Sanctuary. Throughout the walk-in, the combination of the picturesque rice-fields and villages, with the panoramas of high peaks beyond, makes for very special trekking indeed. We have allowed time for exploration of the inner sanctuary, before walking out via an alternative route, following high ridges to Ghorepani. From poon Hill , above Ghorepani, the dawn views of Dhaulagiri and Tukche peak are the stuff of trekking legend
