Easily accessible from Kathmandu, the joining regions of Helambu, Langtang and Ganesh are considered by many to be Nepal's best-kept secret. Completely unspoiled and including some of the most varied and rewarding trekking in the whole of Nepal, this area presents a colorful mixture of cultures and religions, together with stunning High Mountain scenery. This supped 3-week trekking itinerary starts out only a few kilometers from the Kathmandu at the town of Sundarijal and heads northwards for 7 days on a series of ridges which
criminate in the airy Thare Danda and the Holy lakes at Gosainkunda. This is spectacular trekking
indeed, with views to the southwest of the peaks of the Rolwaling and the distant Khumbu. After a rest day at Syabrubensi in the Langtang Valley, we trek into the Ganesh Himal, passing through several Buddhist village en route the
base camp area for Paldor, a popular trekking peak. Our 5-day walkout to Betrawati follows the Tiru Danda absolutely breath-taking ridges, from which there are views of the
Annapurna's, Himal Chuli, Manaslu and the nearby Ganesh peaks. Combining 2 of the most enjoyable ridge walks in Nepal, this trek is hard to beat.
