AROUND THE MANASLU AND ANNAPURNA TREKS {Max Alt. 5300m}
A " classic trek, linking 2 of Nepal's most important mountain massif.
Culturally diverse and including a great variety of impressive mountain scenery, the Manaslu and Annapurna regions offer some of the finest trekking in Nepal. We have combined the route around Himalchuli and Manaslu with a traveres of the north side of the adjacent Annapurna massif, to create
a trek, which undoubtedly ranks amongst the best in the world. Setting off from Gorkha, we trek northwards, gradually gaining height alongside the Burhi Gandaki River and then turning westwards into a high alpine valley with picturesque villages and a number of fine Buddhist monasteries. A steeper ascent to the Larkya La pass{ High 5245m}, is rewarded by stunning views of
Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru and Annapurna II, to name just a few. Descending to join the Annapurna
Ciruit, we follow the main trail only as far as the Tibetan-style villlage of Msnsng before turning off on a rarely travelled path to the remarkable Tilicho Lake, which provides a most scenic alternative route, by way of the Tilicho paa{5300M}, into the Kali Gandaki valley. A rarely undertaken and very varied trekking itinerary in a newly accessible part of Nepal.
