Blessing For Ang Dawa Sherpa
| A 2-week taste of the Sherpa Homeland Trek, Within the space of a 2-week holiday, it is now possible to trek to the Sherpa capital of Namache Bazaar to experience the spectacular mountain scenery of the Khumbu, including the famous view of mount Everest from the monastery village of Thengboche. A memorable flight from Kathmandu to the mountain airstrip at Lukla, give us easy access to a high alpine world, where colorful prayer flags flutter from the rooftops. Eight days of trekking allows us ample time to explore picturesque villages such as Thame, Khunde and the stunningly located Thengboche, were the newly rebuilt monastery is once again the spiritual center for the Buddhist population of the area. Our itinerary also gives us 2 days for sightseeing and souvenir hunting in Kathmandu which, in terms of the diversity and color of its religious architecture, is certainly one of the most remarkable cities on earth. This trip provides a wonderful insight into the way of the Sherpa's and an excellent introduction to Nepal. |
